Question 1:
It was LG Petrov’s (of Entombed) birthday a few days ago (may he rest in peace) being a death metal vocalist like yourself, did you respect him and did his style influence you at all?
I really like Left Hand Path. I did not follow his career and sadly I did not have the chance to meet him. It does seem his influence is still coming from beyond the grave and that is commendable.

Question 2:
They call you Don of the Dead, do you like zombie films? If yes, which are your favourites?
I was an avid horror movie watcher in my youth. I am from the land of the Zombies Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Home of George Romero, Jack Russo and Tom Savini. Most of my favourite films are about possession and Satan. The Beast Within comes to mind.

Question 3:
How did you become a friend of Jim Konya (R.I.P.) and is he responsible for the leprechaun laughter on Nunslaughter recordings, when did he start doing that?
I met Jim in 1990 at a show in Pittsburgh. He was askin about the band NunSlaughter and I told him in was in the band. We started to trade items through the mail and 5 years later he joined us on Face of Evil demo.
He is responsible to the cackling on the live recordings. I believe he started that from the beginning when we began to perform live. Still one of the highlights when listening to the older live shows.

Question 4:
Would you say Hells Unholy Fire and Goat are your strongest albums or you prefer the latest one?

I think those are the classics. RITCORD is without a doubt on its way to becoming just that. It has brought new life into the audience and band and I believe surprised some people as to how ferocious of an LP it really is.

Question 5:
If I’m correct you have an extensive 7 inch vinyl collection, can you name some gems you would never get rid of or your most prized possession?

I would say i did have a killer 7” collection. In fact I had just about every 7” I wanted. They are all now long gone. The only ones I held on to are the NunSlaughter 7”s and any record that Jim performed on. Oh and my YnT Midnight in Tokyo 7”.

Question 6:
How many splits has Nunslaughter done so far, not more than Agathocles yet? Although you did a split with them too, who’s idea was that?

AG are the kings of the underground and I bow to them. I don’t really know how many we have maybe 70 or 80 split 7”s.
Yes we did a killer split with them. Self Made God set it all up and all we did is provided the art and music. Still one of my proudest records.

Question 7:
Do you believe in voodoo magic?
I believe in nothing.

Question 8:
What is your favourite country to play live abroad, your best experiences so far?
I really liked Japan but we only did 4 shows. Germany is a great country for metal.

Question 9:
Does NunSlaughter Records still exist? You released some cult stuff, any more coming?
Yes and no. I still put out NunSlaughter releases but I just do not do it under the NunSlaughter Records logo.

Question 10:
You have any side-projects like Satanic Threat active currently?
Sure, We are working on another TONDRA LP and NIGHNACHT demo.

Question 11:
Did the band start getting serious on Hells Unholy Fire or you consider the demo tapes serious too?

I think it was only until HUF was released that we thought it was really coming together. I do love the demos but HUF just ahs a warm sound and it is fast.

Question 12:
Were you always the leader of the band or you shared that role?

I never wanted to be the leader but the band would not have moved forward unless I took the reigns. In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king.

Question 13:
I know since Black Death Phantom you have a new bassist, is he still part of the group, played any shows with him yet?
He gone. After we returned home from a European tour he quit. He did not like touring but we have another bassist and he just about ripps your face off when you see him live.

Question 14:
Can you tell us a bit about the future of Nunslaughter that lies ahead? Still Satanic?
In june we will record a new LP and we have made plans to do a split with Profanatica. Keep performing live and of corpse stay Satanic.
